Description

About this Class: In this exciting workshop, we will dive into the world of color theory and learn to use colors to express our emotions, feelings, and personality. We'll explore the differences between cool colors (like blue and green) and warm colors (like red and orange), as well as the neutral tones. We'll create abstract self portraits using our own unique color combinations and different paint applications. About Artful Adventures: Instructor Gilda will lead a Sunday afternoon class through creative activities producing works in watercolor, clay, paint, and nature crafts. This is an opportunity for young budding artists to experiment and learn new skills, all while gaining the benefits of groundedness through touch, learning focusing tools, 3-dimensional form and dexterity practice, and expressing abstract feelings through color. Students will walk away with new found art skills, all while gaining a better connection to themselves and the world around them. Recommended ages 7-13. About the Instructor: We are beyond thrilled to be joined by Gilda all the way from Mexico City! She received her bachelor's degree in education focusing on science and nature with certifications from the Gita Waldorf Education School in art therapy. Her nurturing and caring approach fosters a warm and engaging environment for budding young artists, and we are so lucky to have her expertise!
